The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in statistics. This position will begin in August 2018.
The Department of Mathematics currently supports over 50 math majors and 30 minors and is considering the development of an interdisciplinary major or minor in Analytics. Candidates with a PhD in statistics or a PhD in mathematics with a significant background in statistics and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and develop courses in biostatistics for health science majors, probability and statistics for math majors, applied statistics for engineers, and basic statistics for business majors and other students. There may also be the opportunity to teach other math and general education courses. In addition, you will maintain an active and successful research program, commensurate with a 9 credit hour teaching load per semester. Additional responsibilities include advising and engaging in university service.
