Overview

The Department of Management at Quinnipiac University School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position open rank starting in August 2018, from candidates with a PhD in Management.

 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching General Management courses. Secondary teaching assignments may include Decision Making and/or Project Management. In this role, you will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, both on ground and online, provide service to the university community, and publish high quality, impactful research.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching management-related topics at the undergraduate and graduate level, both online and on ground
  •  Provide academic and career advising and mentoring to students 
  •  Create an engaging and interactive classroom environment for students
  •  Effectively assess class and program level learning outcomes
  •  Conduct impactful research and publish in high quality, peer-reviewed journals 
  •  Present findings at academic and professional conferences
  •  Serve on faculty committees and contribute to the university community
  •  Develop innovative course materials and assist in curriculum development

Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

 

  • PhD in Management or related field from an accredited university required
    • Candidates who will have completed their Ph.D. by August 15, 2018 will be given preference. ABDs will be considered
  • Demonstrated excellence in effective teaching effectiveness, preferably in both online and classroom environments
  • Potential for high quality and impactful scholarship
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make significant service contributions to the department, School of Business, University and community
  • Demonstrates commitment to diversity and the ability to successfully teach and relate to a diverse population
