The Physical Therapy Department at Quinnipiac University is looking for an individual with flexibility to join our full-time faculty and clinical partners in strengthening our integrated curriculum.

You will divide your time between the Quinnipiac campus in North Haven and a corporate clinical partner to integrate didactic and experiential learning. You will be responsible for teaching in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, developing and overseeing Integrated Clinical Experiences, and contributing to curricular assessment.

Teaching responsibilities will be in the neurological content area (motor control, neurorehabilitation, and/or regenerative rehabilitation) with integrated clinical experiences across the continuum of care.

This is a full-time, 12-month Visiting Professor 1-year appointment.

About the Physical Therapy Program:

The DPT curriculum at Quinnipiac is a hybrid model of foundational science integrated into a professional model of health care delivery for contemporary society. Physical therapy knowledge and skills are applied through clinical decision-making with authentic cases in and out of the classroom. In addition to expert full- and part-time faculty, the department has ideal state-of-the-art facilities, which include a Motion Analysis Laboratory with mobile capability, high fidelity simulation, and a standardized patient suite. The department is housed in the Center for Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences Building and actively collaborates within the Center for Interprofessional Healthcare Education.

The DPT Program embodies the University's commitment to its three core values: high-quality academic programs, a student-oriented environment, and a strong sense of community; the American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) core values: accountability, altruism, compassion/caring, excellence, integrity, professional duty and social responsibility, and is dedicated to pursuing the APTA vision of transforming society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience.
