    The School of Engineering at Quinnipiac University invite applications for a Teaching Professor of Cyber Security beginning in July 2018 to serve as the director of the degree program. The School of Engineering is planning a new Master’s degree program in Cyber Security with the first cohort of students starting in Fall 2018. This program has been designed to meet the criteria for designation as a NSA/DHS National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education. 

     

    About the School of Engineering:

     

    The School of Engineering became the ninth school at Quinnipiac University on July 1, 2016. The school offers BS and BA degrees in computer science and BS degrees in civil, industrial, mechanical and software engineering. Housed in the renovated Center for Communications and Engineering, the school features newly constructed and outfitted laboratories and classrooms. Dedicated to providing the best possible engineering learning experience for our students, the school focuses on high-quality instruction, and offers hands-on training, applied learning opportunities and meaningful student-faculty relationships.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Serving as the Director of the new Master of Science in Cyber Security program
    • Developing courses and teaching in various areas of Cyber Security
    • Guiding, advising, and mentoring students
    • Service to the university community

     

    Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

     

    • Minimum of a Master’s Degree or PhD in relevant field and related industry or academic experience
    • Industrial or research experience in cyber security and information assurance preferred
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to make significant service contributions to the department, School of Engineering, university and community
    • Demonstrates commitment to diversity and the ability to successfully teach and relate to a diverse population
