    The Department of Occupational Therapy at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a full-time 12-month faculty position as Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy. The faculty member hired in this position will be designated to teach primarily in the post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate program and may have teaching/mentorship and advising duties in the entry-level Bachelor of Science/Master of Occupational Therapy program. The faculty member hired is expected to engage in interprofessional service and scholarship as defined in the Quinnipiac University Faculty Handbook.

    Teaching Responsibilities:

    • Teaching primarily in the post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate program 
    • Additional teaching duties in the entry-level Bachelor of Science/Master of Occupational Therapy program

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Mentoring and advising duties in the entry-level Bachelor of Science/Master of Occupational Therapy program
    • Engaging in interprofessional service and scholarship as defined in the Faculty Handbook

    Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

    • An earned research-based doctorate degree with an established research agenda related to occupational therapy; or a post-professional clinical doctorate degree with an established record of research participation and dissemination
    • An active license as an occupational therapist or eligibility for licensure in the State of Connecticut

    • Current NBCOT certification

    • A minimum of 8 years of clinical experience

    • A minimum of 3 years of academic teaching experience

    • Evidence of service engagement and leadership in a professional organization

    • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students and faculty

    Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in a distance-learning format, as well as experience in designing/developing community-based programs.
